Industrial Paint Booths Engineered Around Your Process | STANCE
Industrial Paint Booth Engineering · Dry-Type Systems

Most vendors sell the booth.
We engineer the investment behind it.

STANCE designs and manufactures industrial paint booth systems around your process, production requirement, airflow, maintenance reality and lifecycle economics—not simply around a standard booth size or machine price. STANCE is a paint booth manufacturer in Coimbatore, serving industrial projects with dry-type booth engineering and lifecycle support.

The price of the booth is only the beginning.

A serious paint-booth investment has two layers: what you pay to install it, and what the system asks from your operation year after year.

We engineer cost visibility before the purchase order.

CapEx, energy, filtration, maintenance, serviceability, capability, support and lifecycle performance are considered together.

METHOD

How we engineer CAPEX around your process.

A booth sized to a brochure specification is a starting point. A booth sized to your actual process, throughput, plant constraints and maintenance capability is an engineering decision.

DRY-TYPE PAINT BOOTH SYSTEMS

One filtration principle. Multiple airflow architectures.

STANCE focuses on dry-type paint booth systems. The airflow arrangement is then engineered around the application — commonly side-draft or downdraft — rather than forcing every process into one standard configuration.

01 / DRY FILTER

Side-Draft Paint Booth

Dry-filter extraction with horizontal airflow for industrial applications where the process, component geometry and plant layout favour side extraction.

  • Side extraction architecture
  • Custom working envelope
  • Maintenance-access planning
02 / DRY FILTER

Downdraft Paint Booth

Dry-filter extraction with controlled downward airflow where contamination control, finish requirements and component handling justify the architecture.

  • Dry filtration
  • Floor / plenum extraction
  • Large-component capability
  • Application-specific airflow

ENGINEERING PARAMETERS

A booth is an airflow system first.

Paint quality, operator environment and overspray control depend on what happens inside the booth—not simply how the enclosure looks.

Our engineering review considers the working envelope, airflow requirement, extraction arrangement, filtration strategy, pressure behaviour, fan selection and maintenance access before finalising the system.

Build the OPEX model before you buy the booth.

This model separates production volume, paint consumption, electrical energy, filtration, cleaning, maintenance and other annual operating costs. The result is a transparent cost-per-output-unit view rather than a generic annual estimate.

01 / ENGINEERING CONFIGURATION GUIDE

Start with the process. Let the architecture follow.

Select the operating conditions that actually influence booth architecture. STANCE then translates them into a practical starting system — including airflow direction, extraction arrangement and filtration concept — rather than simply naming a booth type.

Calculate annual OPEX and cost per output unit

Enter actual or budgetary operating data. Where an engineering value is not known, the field is intentionally left for the user rather than hidden behind an aggressive assumption.

STANCE · OPEX / ENGINEERING

A. Production / output basis

Enter the sustainable painted output per month in the unit your operation actually uses. The model then reports annual output and OPEX in that same output basis.

Use sustainable actual output, not peak theoretical capacity.
Total manpower cost allocated to the selected monthly output.
Output basis: all production and OPEX-per-output results below will follow the selected UOM.

B. Paint consumption & paint cost

Enter actual purchased paint consumption per part. Do not add transfer-loss or waste again if it is already included in your measured consumption figure.

Enter paint consumption against the selected output UOM; keep the paint cost basis consistent.
Enter paint consumption against the selected output UOM; keep the paint cost basis consistent.

C. Electrical energy

Motor kW is treated as rated mechanical output. The model converts it to electrical input using efficiency and loading. For final costing, replace the reference efficiency with the actual motor nameplate efficiency.

Reference value only; overwrite with the actual motor nameplate efficiency for final costing.
Use measured average loading where available.
Leave at 100% if there is no drive or if total measured input kW is used.

D. Filtration, cleaning & maintenance

These are direct cost inputs. This avoids inventing a filter life or maintenance frequency that may not match the coating process.

E. Other annual operating costs

Optional inputs for costs that are real for the project but should not be guessed by the calculator.

STANCE operating insight: Paint normally dominates the operating cost in a high-consumption paintshop. Use this model to compare the cost impact of paint consumption, filtration, energy and maintenance before finalising the booth specification — the lowest CapEx option is not automatically the lowest-cost system to run.
DISCLAIMER — ENGINEERING COST MODEL: This calculator is an input-driven planning model, not a quotation, statutory compliance calculation, guaranteed savings statement or final project cost. Results are only as reliable as the operating data entered. For final costing, use actual motor nameplate efficiency and measured/approved fan input kW where available, actual paint purchase consumption per part, actual electricity tariff, filter replacement records/vendor pricing, cleaning and maintenance quotations, site-specific operating hours, and total manpower cost allocated to the output. Downtime, depreciation, financing, taxes, production rejects and other costs are excluded unless explicitly entered. Filter life and paint consumption must be validated for the actual coating process.

WHY STANCE

We don’t optimise the quotation. We optimise the system.

A cheaper booth can become an expensive asset if it consumes unnecessary power, demands frequent maintenance, limits production or becomes difficult to support.

Transparent CAPEX + realistic OPEX + engineering accountability.

That is the basis on which we approach industrial equipment investments. The objective is a system that makes commercial and operational sense—not simply a lower purchase price.

BEYOND THE BOOTH

Why STANCE is not just another equipment vendor.

The paint booth is one part of a broader engineering capability. Our work connects capital systems, process performance, operational capability and governance.

The STANCE Portfolio

Different problems. One value-engineering mindset.

01
Capital SystemsEngineering & technology — paint booths, shot blasting, washing and process-specific systems.
02
Applied Value EngineeringFloor-level engineering that finds root causes of process inefficiency and converts them into measurable value.
03
Enterprise TransformationOperational and organisational capability development through structured floor-level co-working.
04
ESG CompliancePractical systems for environmental, social and governance requirements in industrial operations.
05
TWI Integrated MentorshipWorkplace mentorship that converts individual expertise into verified organisational capability and documented knowledge.
THE DIFFERENCE

We can enter at different points of the industrial problem.

A conventional vendor usually starts when a specification is already written. STANCE can start earlier: with the process, capacity constraint, OPEX problem or capital decision that created the requirement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions engineers actually ask.

What information do you need to design a paint booth?

We typically review component dimensions and weight, painting process, coating system, production volume, required finish, available floor area, material handling method and site conditions. This lets the system be engineered around the actual process.

Do you manufacture custom-size paint booths?

Yes. Custom dimensions and configurations can be developed around component geometry, production requirements, available space and the required airflow and extraction arrangement.

How do you determine the required airflow?

Airflow is evaluated based on the booth configuration, working envelope, application, extraction strategy and applicable engineering and safety requirements. The objective is to achieve the required operating environment without unnecessarily oversizing the system.

Why do you discuss OPEX during a CAPEX purchase?

Because the purchase price is only the initial investment. Energy consumption, filter replacement, maintenance, downtime and support can materially influence the lifecycle cost of the system.

Can STANCE help determine which booth configuration is suitable?

Yes. If you are unsure whether a side-draft, downdraft or another dry-type configuration is appropriate, we can review the application and recommend a configuration based on the process.

Do you provide installation and commissioning?

Installation and commissioning can be included depending on project scope. The final responsibility matrix should be established during technical and commercial finalisation.

What other services does STANCE offer beyond paint booths?

Our broader portfolio covers five areas: Capital Systems for engineered industrial equipment; Applied Value Engineering for process-performance and OPEX improvement; Enterprise Transformation for operational and organisational capability; ESG Compliance for practical industrial governance systems; and TWI Integrated Mentorship for converting workplace expertise into documented organisational capability.

Why is STANCE different from a conventional paint-booth vendor?

A conventional equipment transaction often begins with a predefined specification and ends at installation. STANCE looks at the process, capacity requirement, airflow, lifecycle cost, maintenance reality and operating capability around the asset. The objective is not simply to sell a booth; it is to make the capital decision and the resulting operating system more effective.

Does STANCE provide booth preventive maintenance and cleaning?

Yes. STANCE supports lifecycle management around the booth, including preventive maintenance programmes and structured weekly booth cleaning support. The exact scope and frequency are defined based on the booth, paint process and operating conditions.

Can STANCE supply paintshop consumables after installation?

Yes. STANCE can support recurring paintshop consumables such as dry filtration media, reusable metal baffle filters, floor grating components and masking/protection materials, subject to the project and supply scope.

Where does STANCE operate?

STANCE Engineering Projects is based in Tamil Nadu, with manufacturing in Ranipet and warehouse operations in Arasur, Coimbatore. STANCE supports industrial customers across Tamil Nadu and wider Indian markets.
